Day 1 - Delhi
Meet your group over a late breakfast and then enjoy a walking tour of Old Delhi, featuring Raj Ghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Next, a cycle rickshaw carries us through the crowded Chandni Chowk Bazaar to Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque. In the afternoon, drive through New Delhi to visit India Gate and the old residence of British Viceroys. (B, D)

 

Day 2 - Agra/Taj Mahal
Early breakfast and depart for Agra, to enjoy the Taj Mahal in the peaceful daylight. We'll seek out several views of the exterior, and then tour the inner chambers. In contrast to the ethereal Taj we then visit the imposing Agra Fort, an immense fortified palace that was a seat of Mughal power. (B, D)

 

Day 3 - Agra
Wake early to enjoy a sunrise view of the Taj Mahal and marvel at the colours which change as the sun increases its intensity. We'll seek out several views of the exterior before touring the inner chambers. By noon, board the train to Delhi where we'll have dinner and spend the night. (L, D)

 

Day 4- Haridwar
Early morning board the Shatabdi Express for HARIDWAR. Arriving late morning and transferring to the Mohyal Ashram. After lunch visit Mansa Devi - a hill top temple - via cable car, for a bird's eye view of the city & its beautiful surrounding landscape. In the evening visit Harki Pauri for the famous Ganga Aarti (prayer). Return to meet the Ayurevedic physician, Yoga & meditation teacher who will remain with you during your stay in Haridwar and Ukhimath. Overnight at the Ashram. (L, D)

 

Day 5 - Haridwar
Early morning start with a walk to the Ganga River where you can experience your first session of yoga led by learned yoga instructors on the banks of the holy river. After breakfast, visit the famous temples and ashrams of Haridwar including the Herbal Garden. Late afternoon, a yoga session between 4.00 to 5.00 pm. Evening free or meet with the astrologer. Overnight at the Ashram. (B, L, D)

 

Day 6 - Rishikesh
After breakfast drive, to Rishikesh to stay at Mohan's Silver Beach Camp, to spend some time chilling out - sunbathing on one of the famous silver sand beaches of Holy Ganga and enjoying the Yoga, meditation and Ayurevedic treatments. Evening free to relax or to explore the natural surroundings of the camp or, for kayaking, swimming, water polo, beach ball or volleyball. Later, enjoy an outdoor bonfire with dinner. Overnight at the Beach Camp. (B, L, D)

 

Day 7 - Corbett National Park
Early wakeup and proceed to Corbett National Park, travelling by private transport through lush mango orchards and farmland to Ramnagar. Our comfortable jungle lodge is located near the park and is stunningly situation on the banks of the Kosi River, surrounded by pristine elephant grass. Time to shower and freshen up before spending the evening at leisure to enjoy the beauty around the Camp.

 

Corbett National Park (Tiger project) is India's first National Park. Beautifully situated in the foothills of the Himalayas by the Ramganga River. Commonly seen wildlife includes wild elephant, langur monkey, several types of deer and the elusive tiger. In the evening we enjoy a slide show or a short film about the National Park.

 

Day 8 - Corbett National Park
An early morning jungle safari by jeep or elephant into the park, returning for breakfast. Relax at the Lodge during the day or swim in the swimming pool / Kosi river beside the Lodge, watching the Elephants being bathed, catch up on your diary or spend some time animal /bird spotting (580 species) around your lodge. Later in the day enjoy a game drive into the forest by jeep followed by a relaxing evening at the jungle lodge.

 

Day 9 - Ananda
Early wakeup and optional game drive or elephant safari. After breakfast, leave for Narendra Nagar to reach Ananda in the Himalayas around midday. Rediscover tranquillity in the mystical embrace of the Himalayan Mountains and the Holy River Ganges. Once the abode of the Maharaja of Tehri Garhwal and the spiritual birthplace of Yoga, Meditation & Ayurveda, Ananda is now one of South Asia's finest Resort and Spas. Ananda translated from ancient Sanskrit means "bliss, happiness, and self contentment". Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B, D)

 

Day 10 - Ananda
After breakfast enjoy your day at the Ananda. The Spa philosophy is founded on Ayurveda, an traditional Indian science of holistic medicine, developed over centuries by sages and holy men who were gifted with universal insight and experience. Qualified Ayurvedic practitioners perform the therapies which rejuvenate the system, tone the body and relax the mind, supporting our commitment to health and wellness. Dinner and overnight at the hotel. (B, D)

 

Day 11 - Hardwar/Delhi
After breakfast, leave for Hardwar to board the train to Delhi, or drive, arriving late evening.

Day 12 - Trip Ends
In the morning we drive to the Imperial Hotel for a farewell breakfast. Rest of the day free in Delhi for last minute shopping/sightseeing before transferring to the airport for your flight home.
