Flight Information

We don't currently offer a flight booking service as we found that with so many online flight booking companies, the majority of our clients preferred the flexibility to shop around in order to find the best fares.

For quick comparisons, www.travelsupermarket.com is a useful site that compares fares from most of the big online booking agencies. We also find that www.expedia.co.uk are generally fairly competitive.

All that said, if you are having trouble or would just like us to help you in your search, please do let us know. We'll be only too pleased to oblige.

Flying to Thailand

British Airways, Thai Air and Eva Air all fly direct to Bangkok. Eva Air also offer premium economy upgrades for not much more than the economy fare, if you feel like flying in a little more comfort.

If you don't mind flying indirect - which usually means only a short stopover, and sometimes not even getting off the plane - there are numerous other airlines who fly from London to Bangkok and this can sometimes work out slightly cheaper, in compensation for the minor inconvenience.

Flying to Cambodia

There are currently no direct flights from London to Phnom Penh. The most convenient route is probably London to Bangkok and then onwards from there.

We can arrange overnight stopovers in Bangkok if you'd like to break your journey before continuing to Cambodia.

Flying to Bhutan

Druk Air (the Bhutanese airline) is currently the only carrier flying into Bhutan and only authorised agents are allowed to issue tickets on their behalf... Fortunately our partners in Bhutan are an authorised agent so we are pleased to be able to offer this service to our clients.

Druk Air flies into Paro from Delhi, Bangkok, Kolkata (Calcutta) and Kathmandu so you will need to make your own way to one of these hub airports and we'll make the arrangements from there.

Offsetting Carbon Emissions

Each time we turn on the TV, switch on the cooker, take a flight or drive the car, CO2 is added into the atmosphere. CO2 is a greenhouse gas that is released when fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal are burnt.

Offsetting means paying someone to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere by the same amount that your activities add. In this way you can 'neutralise' or 'balance' the CO2 added by your activities.

There are various companies who offer this service but we particularly recommend Climate Care who offset your CO2 by funding projects around the world. These can be in:

Renewable energy – this replaces non-renewable fuel such as coal

Energy efficiency – this reduces the amount of fuel needed

Forest restoration – this absorbs CO2 from the atmosphere as the trees grow

Balancing your CO2 emissions in this way makes your activities climate neutral.

As an example, a return flight from London to Bangkok creates 2.8 tonnes CO2, at a cost of £21 pounds to offset.
