
15 Days, 14 nights (Holiday Extensions at Krabi Beach possible)
This superb all-inclusive holiday will take you to the central,
north and south parts of Thailand. Having witnessed the highlights
of Bangkok, the first week is full of adventure in northern
Thailand. You will hike through beautiful mountainous areas
and see many gorgeous waterfalls, ride on the back of an elephant
and raft along the Mae Klong River. Overnights are challenging,
as on most days we camp in the forest at local villages.
In the second week we travel from Hua Hin towards Khao Sok
National park. We visit many tropical national parks and stay
at comfortable hotels along the beach. Some of the highlights
include wild elephant and langur watching, snorkeling, canoeing
and nature walking. At the end of this tour we will return
to Bangkok or we can extend the trip and travel to Krabi beach
to relax here on the gorgeous white-sand beaches. During the
entire trip, you will be accompanied by a professional English-speaking
guide and in the national parks, park rangers will look after
us and share they fascinating knowledge of the area and the
ecosystem.

Day 1 - Arrival
You will be picked up from the airport in Bangkok and we take
you to your comfortable hotel in the centre of the city, where
you will stay for the first day and night.
Day 2 - Bangkok
Day free in Bangkok so that you can set your own pace and
visit some of Bangkok's famous attractions. (We'll be pleased
to offer some suggestions.) At 8 o'clock in the evening you
will be picked up from your hotel and we leave by VIP bus
towards Mae-Sod (Tak Province).
Day 3 - Mae Sot
In the morning we arrive at Mae Sot. After breakfast, we proceed
to Um-Phang town by local truck. Enjoy a 4 hour drive through
this beautiful mountainous area with superb views. After lunch
and refreshments at a nature resort we will take a local truck
to the beautiful Ti-Lo-Cho waterfall. We then walk to a higher
level of the waterfall from which there is an amazing great
view of the area. Dinner will be taken at nature resort, where
we will also spend the night.
Day 4 - Um Phang
After breakfast we set off on a great adventure, rafting along
the Mae Klong river. During the trip, we will pass beautiful
waterfalls including the Tee-Law-Jaw waterfall. Nearby there
is a hot spring where we spend some time relaxing. We then
continue the rafting and head to Ta-Sai, where lunch is waiting
for us. In the afternoon we prepare ourselves for the 12km
trek to the Um-Phang Wildlife Sanctuary. During the trek you
will see many birds, butterflies, animal footprints (civet
cat, wild pig, tiger) and real wildlife. We will reach the
Wildlife Sanctuary late in the afternoon, where we set camp
and have dinner.
Day 5 - Pala Ta
One of the highlights of the area here is the great Tee-Law-Soo
waterfall, which is considered by many to be Thailand's most
precious. In the morning you will have plenty of time to enjoy
its beauty. After having visited the waterfall, we start another
adventure and ride on the back of an elephant. The nature
trail is absolutely beautiful and for most of the time we
will follow a small river where we can see many birds and
other wildlife such as deer. You can choose if you want to
finish the trek towards the Karen village Pala-Ta on the elephant
or by foot. We arrive at our home stay village in the late
afternoon.
Day 6 - Um Phang
This morning we hike to Pala-Ta waterfall, where we can swim
and relax. We also visit a Karen village and return around
midday. After lunch, walk for an hour through the jungle to
visit a Hill tribe village. Then enjoy the beautiful scenery
on a one hour drive to Takobi cave. We will enter the limestone
cave which has many stalagmites and stalactites. Dinner and
spend the night at the Um-Phang nature resort.
Day 7 - Mae Sod
We get up early in order to see the morning fog that covers
Mount Hua-Mod. After breakfast, which will be taken at the
resort, we will return to Mae-Sod where you will have time
to look around, relax, and visit the Rim-Soey market where
you can find many local souvenirs and handicrafts. This is
also the perfect time to get a traditional Thai massage after
the many hikes and adventures of the last week ! At the end
of the day, we will gather at the bus station of Mae-Sod and
depart for Bangkok.
Day 8 - Hua Hin
Early in the morning we arrive in Bangkok. Breakfast will
be taken here and afterwards we continue the rest of our travel
by minibus. We will arrive at Hua Hin around 9 o'clock. You
can spend the entire day relaxing at the beach, which is located
near your comfortable hotel.
Day 9 - Hua Hin
After breakfast we head to Kao Sam Roi Yot National Park.
At the park, we walk for an hour and should encounter the
dusked langur, which is a primate species that is very rare
in Thailand. We will also take a boat trip to visit a beautiful
cave where King Rama the 5th used to come for relaxation.
After lunch we head towards Kui Buri National park, where
we will try to find wild elephants from an observation platform.
Thailand only has 500 wild elephants left and this is a great
opportunity for us to meet these endangered animals. We arrive
back at the hotel at in the early evening.
Day 10 - Chumpon
Today we will visit Thailand's biggest National Park Kaeng
Krachan. We can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and many
species of birds and butterflies. During a one hour walk,
we may hear the unique sound of the gibbons that sing in the
treetops. If we are lucky, we might even see them swinging
in the trees. We continue our travel early in the afternoon
to Chumpon, where we arrive at our hotel around 4 o'clock
in the afternoon. If you want, you can still go for a swim
in the ocean before it gets dark.
Day 11 - Chumpon
Today is the perfect day for relaxation. You have a superb
beach in front of your hotel with clean ocean water to swim
in. You will also have the opportunity to explore the area
by mountain bike, or take a boat trip to a fantastic island
where you will be supplied with snorkeling equipment to watch
the corals and the many colourful fish.
Day 12 - Khao Sok
After breakfast we will leave Chumpon and head towards the
beautiful National Park Khao Sok. We arrive here around midday.
In this tropical rainforest, of which there are only a few
in Thailand, you can do many activities. The park has many
trails for trekking through the dense forest, you can visit
waterfalls, row a boat around a big lake, go bamboo rafting
or canoeing, or spend some time trekking through the forest
on the back of an elephant. Your resort is near the park and
has wonderful views. Lunch and evening dinner can be taken
here.
Day 13 - Khao Sok
More time to explore the National Park. You are free to choose
your own activities and if you'd like to go hiking in the
rainforest, our professional guide will be pleased to accompany
you. The forest has many different species of flora and fauna.
Look out for the tropical raffesia, the largest flower in
the world (70-120cm). If you don't feel like adventure and
just want to relax, you can just stay near the resort or at
the lake and enjoy the surroundings.
Day 14 - Bangkok
Enjoy breakfast in the silent tropical rainforest. Afterwards
we return to Bangkok and arriving late in the afternoon. We
will take you to your hotel and you can spend the evening
at leisure.
Day 15 - End of itinerary
We will take you to the airport for your return flight home
or assist with your onward travel - see extensions below.
Extensions
Beach extensions for this trip are possible. Instead of returning
to Bangkok on day 14, we can take you to a gorgeous 3-star
hotel at the beach in Krabi. We arrive here at midday. You
can relax here for the rest of your stay and return to Bangkok
on any day you like. On the day of return, you will be brought
to the train station late in the afternoon and will travel
back by a comfortable overnight train. You arrive in Bangkok
the next morning, where we will pick you up and bring you
to your hotel. You will have another full day to spent in
Bangkok. The next day we will bring you to the airport.
